Genesis 4:17-26

Genesis 4:17-26 is a list of one of the lines that descended from Cain through to the seventh generation.

The the sixth and seventh generations have several firsts. Lamech is the first recorded case of bigamy. His two wives are named named being only two og the four named pre-Flood woma. Their names were Adah and Zillah.

The first nomadic was herdsman Adah's son Jabal .
The first musician was Adah's son Jubal.
Tubal-cain son of Zillah was the first metal worker and his work included brass and iron.

Tubal-cain sister the fourth of the four pre-Flood woman mentioned by name was Naamah is some what enigmatic. She was most probably married to a male descendents of Seth one possibility is Ham wife. THis idea is wife issupprted by mitochondrial data which showing that Mrs. Shem and Mrs. Japheth were more closely related to each other than they were to Mrs. Ham.
