Genesis 6:17-22

Genesis 6:17-22 is the first direct reference to the Flood making a clear indication that it was a global Flood as is indicated by both the descriptions of the victims of the Flood and the description of the Ark’s passengers and cargo.

Genesis 6:11-13

The implications of Genesis 6:11-13 is that there was so much violence on Earth that the human population may have already been in decline. If this was the case the Flood may have actually prevented the extinction of the human race.

Genesis 6:9-10

Genesis 6:9-10 says that Noah was “perfect in his generations” . This is the being of Noah’s tablet or writing. The term “perfect in his generations” seems to indicate that Noah’s family was not involved in the events of his day, specifically those mentioned in verse 2. In fact the Bible is clear by the time of the Flood Noah’s family were the only genuine believers in God left.

Genesis 6:1-8

Genesis 6:1-8
There are several views about this passage. The differences in these views center on the identification of those referred two as “the sons of God” and the other details of each view extends from who “the sons of God” are identified as. There are three main views on this: Sethites, Rulers, and Fallen angels,

Genesis 5:32

Genesis 5:32
This is an article on the births of Shem, Ham, and Japheth mentioned in Genesis 5:32. It is clear from Genesis 11 that not all of these three sons were born in Noah’s 500th year. This is because Shem had a son at age 100, two years after the Flood. Since Noah was 603 at the time Shem would have been born when Noah was 503. The most likely possibility is that Ham, or Japheth was actually the oldest born when Noah was 500.

Genesis 4:25-26

Genesis 4:25-26
This is end of Adams’s account and mentions Seth as a replacement for Able, suggesting that Able’s murder took place shortly before Seth was born. There seems also have been a rival at this time with men turning. Seth’s birth seems to have been the catalyst. His birth may have gotten men thinking about God in light of Able’s death.

DNA and Babel and human migration

DNA and Babel and human migration
This is an article and how DNA provides evidence for the Noah’s Flood and the post Babel human migration.

The Genographic Project is project of the National Geographic Society, IBM, geneticist Spencer Wells, and the Waitt Family Foundation. The plan is to determine the migration patterns starting in Africa and going to the rest of the world. The project is continuing but they have parliamentary results, which National Geographic describes in some detail. One factor they left out is the fact that their conclusions are based largly on the assumption of Evolution.

One can also make the Biblical assumption that it started in Iraq. when this is done the data supports the Bible with clear 3 way split in both and the Mitochondria Y-chromosome lines when one starts in Iraq. Now Noah had 3 sons and 3 daughter in-laws. Since the Bible does not indicate that Noah and his wife had any kids after the Flood, we would expect a 3 way spit, and that is what we have.

Genesis 4:17-26

Genesis 4:17-26 is a list of one of the lines that descended from Cain through to the seventh generation.

The the sixth and seventh generations have several firsts. Lamech is the first recorded case of bigamy. His two wives are named named being only two og the four named pre-Flood woma. Their names were Adah and Zillah.

The first nomadic was herdsman Adah's son Jabal .
The first musician was Adah's son Jubal.
Tubal-cain son of Zillah was the first metal worker and his work included brass and iron.

Tubal-cain sister the fourth of the four pre-Flood woman mentioned by name was Naamah is some what enigmatic. She was most probably married to a male descendents of Seth one possibility is Ham wife. THis idea is wife issupprted by mitochondrial data which showing that Mrs. Shem and Mrs. Japheth were more closely related to each other than they were to Mrs. Ham.

Genesis 4:16-17

Cain’s wife and city he built are mentioned in Genesis 4:16-17. This brings us to the most common question asked about the Bible “Where did Cain get his wife?” The answer is so simple that most people never consider it. She was his sister. While such inbreeding would a problem today, do to the high number of mutations siblings have in common it would not have been a problem in earlier generations.

Genesis 4:14-15

Genesis 4:14-15
Cain’s concern that if someone were to find him they would only makes sense if there was a significant human population at the time all of which were descended from Adam and Eve. If Cain and Able had been the only kids at this time Cain would only have been concerned about his father finding him.

Genesis 4:3-13

Genesis 4:3-13
Cain did the deed because he got angrie at his brother Abel because Abel had offered a proper sacrifice and Cain had not. Cain’s hart may have been in the right place but he did not do what God had told them to do. Instead of admitting his wrong doing Cain got agree and killed his brother as though that would have made God accept his offering.

Science and Religion in Conflict

Science and Religion in Conflict
The scientific establishment refusal of all consideration of the supernatural mans that when mainstream science and religion deal with the same topic there will be conflict with the exception of Atheism which denies the supernatural. This particlularly true of the Biblical account where God creared man as opposed to evolving from animals.

Genesis 4:1-2

Genesis 4:1-2
This is an account of Adam's and Eve's fist children. It is often mistakenly assumed they Cain and Able were their only children, but that is not true.

Genesis 3:14

This is an article on the curse on the serpent mentioned in Genesis 3:14. This suggests that snakes originally had legs and lost them as part of the curse related to Man’s fall.

Genesis 2:18-20

Genesis 2:18-20

God creates some additional animals in front of Adam so he could see God do it. God then has Adam name each kind of animal. This naturally raises the question of “Could Adam have named all these animals in one day?”
