Genesis 7:1-3

Genesis 7:1-3
A common argument against the feasibility of Noah’s Ark is that it could not possibly carry representatives of every species that has ever lived on Earth. Now this is true but then again the Ark did not have to carry representatives of every species just land animal genus and in some cases families. It has been estimated that
there are only about 8,000 living and extinct genera for a total of a bout 16000 individuals.

Given the Ark’s dimensions 45 X 75 X 450 gives the ark a volume of 1,518,750 ft3. This means that here was and average volume per animal of 94 ft3 which is more than enough room for most kinds of animals and their food supply. While some animals like elephants and larger dinosaurs are quite large most animals are actually rather small, in fact averaging the big and the small animals results in an average size about that of sheep.
